[활용 후기] Zack Files |

오디오 테잎의 속도가 아이한테는 너무 느려서 답답해 뒤로 넘어갈 뻔 했답니다 ㅎㅎ
느리다고 안듣고 읽기만 하려고 해서 제가 오디오에 대한 리뷰도 해야하니 좀 들어달라 사정해서 들었습니다. 시디라 속도조절이 안되어 고속에 익숙한 아이들한테는 불편한가봅니다.
그렇지만 150정도의 중속으로 , 현재 소리잡기에 한창 진행중인 아이들에게는 잭파일 오디오가 많이 도움될 것 같습니다.
나레이터가 한 명이 아니라서 일단 지루하지 않구요, 발음이 또박 또박 아주 좋습니다.
그리고 아주 실감나게 읽어주네요. 오디오 자체만으로도 중.저속 소리잡기 단계의 아이들에게 좋은 교재입니다.
대화체 또한 많아서 연따 중인 아이들에게도 좋은 오디오가 되리라 생각합니다.
내용들이 저학년 아이들의 호기심과 상상력에 딱 들어맞도록 웃음을 자아내게 한답니다.
영어 나이와는 다르게 이미 고학년이 되어 성숙해진 아이들에겐 다소 유치하게 느껴질 수도 있는 내용들이지만 어휘가 그다지 어렵지 않고 유쾌하게 읽어나갈 수 있는 챕터북이어서 영어책 읽기에 어렵지 않게 접근할 수 있도록 도움이 될것입니다.
잭파일처럼, 현실에선 사실 불가능한 일들이 유령이나, 마법등 아이들의 상상과 호기심을 자극하며 웃음을 자아낼 수 있게 하는 책들을 많이 접하게 해주면 자연스럽게 영어책 읽기에 접어들 수 있다고 생각합니다. (리딩레벨 2.0 에서 3.0 사이에 이런 종류의 책들이 많더군요)Katie Kazoo, Weird School, Wayside School, Rotten school, Captain underpants, 그리고 로얄드달의 The Magic Finger, The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me, Esio Trot,The Twits 등을 아이들의 듣기 능력, 읽기 능력에 따라 적절히 오디오와 함께 넣어 듣고 읽게 해주시면 도움이 될 것입니다.
이런 읽기가 밑바탕이 되어 클래식도 읽고, 뉴베리도 읽는 날이 오겠지요. ㅎㅎㅎ
3권의 책을 읽고 아이가 영어로 써머리를 해 놓았기에 그대로 붙여넣기 합니다.
너무 긴것 같은데 줄이라고 말하기도 미안해서 그냥 올려요.
 A ghost named Wanda
A 8-year-old ghost, Wanda likes to make a mess in Zack's house, and she is not good at spelling.
Originally, Zack likes scary and weird things, but when he first saw one of Wanda's naughty tricks, he was scared.
If I was Zack, I would be scared too, of course.
But, I think Zack is really brave. Because he tried hard to get rid of this weird ghost, and because he even had a banishing ritual. If I was Zack, I'll tell my dad that I want to move, and I would be so scared and shocked.
At first, my heart pumped hard 'cause I thought it wouldn't work, but it worked. M&Ms sticks on the ceiling, and makes some sentences; it was really hard to believe. And it was so cool!
If I could play tricks like Wanda, I will trick my friends in school! I'll surprise them. Oh, it will be a lot of fun! But, well. If I want to be a ghost, you know. I have to be…… D-E-A-D. Scary!
When Wanda signaled Zack that she is following Zack well, it was really funny. When I pictured that in my head, it was a cool view!
At one of Zack's friend, rich Vernon's house, there was a ghost like Wanda, too. It was Cecil. But it had an opposite way of tricking people. It arranged stuff. It didn't make a mess, not at all. It cleaned the mess.
Like when Vernon got up, and had to make the bed, the GHOST did.
I want to have a ghost like Cecil, because then, I don't have to clean my own room!
Finally, Vernon's ghost Cecil and Zack's ghost Wanda became friends again. I was so happy. And then Vernon and Zack became good friends, too. It was way happier. 'Cause then, there will be no weird ghosts in houses anymore like Cecil and Wanda. And Vernon and Zack will no longer fight so their teacher won't punish them.
It will be sort of, scary to have a ghost in our house, but to have a ghost like Cecil or Wanda, it will be exciting!
 The boy who cried Bigfoot
Zack and his best friend Spencer went to camp Weno-wanna-getta- wedgie. I don't know what that means, but one thing I know is that it's funny.
There, it imitated the Native American village and made houses look like 'Tepee's. Unfortunately, Zack and Spencer had to sleep with Vernon.
One day, all of camp's children sat around the camp fire. Chef Herbie told a scary story to them, and it was about 'BigFoot'!
So Zack and Spencer got excited. Who wouldn't get excited to hear about some smelly, funny looking monster? Well, I would. I don't like scary. At all! Well, anyway, back to the story.
That night, Zack and Spencer couldn't get to sleep because they couldn't get the 'BigFoot' out of their mind.
One day at the camp, when the boys were busy with finding treasures, Zack and Spencer tricked the girls with scary masks.
So they got punished and had to wash all the dishes in the camp for a week. After the punishment, Zack and Spencer heard weird sound and smelled bad odor. They followed it and the found a cave. But they were scared so they had to run right away.
At last, they found a good evidence to tell the kids that there was such thing as 'BigFoot', a footprint. They took a picture of it, and showed Chef Herbie. And they wanted to find the real truth. Finally, they found the one, and only, 'BigFoot'!
It was caught in a trap and crying for help. Luckily, it was friendly, so Zack and Spencer didn't run away like before.
It was a brilliant discovery!
Zack and Spencer had a great camping days with the 'BigFoot'.
If there WAS something like wenno-wanna-getta-wedgie camp, and if there WAS something like 'BigFoot', it will be so popular!
But one thing for sure. I don't wanna go there. I told ya. I don't like scary at ALL!
 Tell a lie and your butt will grow
Andrew really lied a lot. So one day Zack was sick of his lies and Zack suggested that Andrew would take the lie detector test. And Andrew said yes.
At that time, there was a science fair in school. And Andrew, Zack had to make a science project. And the thing they made was a bicycle. But when they paddled it fast, a light bulb that says 'Andrew and Zack rules!' lights up.
One day, Andrew finally took the lie detector test. And when he told a lie, his butt grew! What a funny sight!
Because of his self-respect, he had to tell more lies. And his butt kept on getting bigger, and bigger.
I felt a little bit sorry for him, but it was worth it.
At the science fair, Andrew's butt was huge! And he couldn't get out of the bathroom stall, so Zack was worried. They almost missed the science fair! But Andrew ate a medicine ㅡ what makes the lier tell the truth ㅡso that Andrew's butt would get smaller.
Finally Andrew's butt got smaller and got back to the normal butt size, and they could to the science fair.
But because of that medicine, Andrew kept saying the truth like judger's hair is funny, judger's face is like a clown! So they didn't win.
I wish Andrew learned something from this. That if you lie, your butt will grow! Well, not exactly, but that lying is bad.
So I wish Andrew would stop telling lies and tell the truth.
But not so much, because look what happened!
Because of the truth, they loose the chance of winning!
But you know what? It's good to tell the truth. You get credit from people. Let's stop telling lies! |
